We spent the day getting organized for the next leg of our travels which we figure will be about 6 days. My resupply box did not show up so I had to buy food from the grocery store. Ughhhh it is difficult to find healthy choices that are also in one serving sizes and light in weight, I did the best I could but will have to go without some of my favorites. We checked the trail angel book at the hardware store and contacted Delores who was kind enough to offer us her place even though she was going out of town. She picked us up from the Pine Inn Motel and took us to one of her properties. A wonderful old farmhouse that was once part of an apple and fox farm. The fox were raised for their fur and were kept in this barn.
We stayed here, and had the place to ourselves.
It even had an old stove from the early 1900's.
Delores did a great job remodeling it, while keeping most of the original structure.
Ooops relaxing at the farmhouse
Then we went to a favorite hiker cafe she recommended called The Village Grind.
They offer you a free cup of coffee if you let them take your picture and sign their register. The pics go on the wall and are changed out every year.
Thanks to PCT angel Delores, we had a great second day.
