I hiked alone most of the day and arrived in hiker town at 630pm. It was very hot and dry and even though I had a little water left it was almost too hot to drink. Hiker Town is a hostel. Owner Richard had it built for hikers. It looks like an old western town. Bob is the caretaker and this year, for the first time they have a cook, Debbie. For $10 you can stay at the hostel, which offers a small room, community shower and laundry. Meals are extra. Debbie made us BBQ chicken, salad, corn on the cob, veggies and drinks- all you could eat, for $10 per meal. Here are some pics of Hiker Town.

We plan to leave at 4am tomorrow to walk the aqueduct section in the cooler part of the day.
