We leap-frogged with Mufasa, Snausage and others through the prettiest section of Oregon so far--Three Sisters









We hiked through perfumed meadows of sweet-smelling Lupines, beautiful waterfalls

We hiked through Lava Fields






Lava Rocks:( My poor feet!!

and met a ranger who checked our permits. Several section hikers had to pack up and leave because they did not have permits.

We met infamous Lou Hollander. At 82 he is the oldest Hawaiian Iron Man contender.

We camped with 30 other hikers
at a campsite between lava fields.




Tomorrow we will teach Big Lake Youth Camp and another milestone. We will be over halfway through Oregon. Wow all that in just 2 days!
