We hiked up and down as 40 plus trail runners passed us as they raced 50K (31miles) from Panther Creek.
We hoped to take advantage of there aide / snack stations but the last runner passed us before we reached them. We stopped at Wind River to have lunch and Steve using the live grasshoppers he caught in-route as bait did some fishing.
We leap-frogged all day with Castle and Portrait and reached another milestone.
2200 milestone
We hiked 23 miles to our next water source and set up in the dark. Several other hikers were there also. Mufasa and his brother White Bear, Spork were among them. We shared their fire and stories but after hiking 13 hour we were eager to call it a day.

I remember those runners too! You are almost to Goat Rocks and the rest of WA is EPIC!!! I can't believe you're almost done! Enjoy every day of it. Especially the dry days!!!
